Genesis 9
Alright today, I meditated on Genesis 9. My first point comes from the fourth and the fifth verse in this chapter.
"But you must not eat meat that has its lifeblood still in it. And for your lifeblood I will surely demand an accounting. I will demand an accounting from every animal. And from each human being, too, I will demand an accounting for the life of another human being."
Genesis 9:4-5 NIV
This verse represents that we shall not have the blood of humans, and animals. In fact, not the blood of any living creature. As it mentions for humans and for flesh. There is a reference verse found in Deuteronomy 12:23.
But be sure you do not eat the blood, because the blood is the life, and you must not eat the life with the meat.
Deuteronomy 12:23
If you take out the blood out of someone completely, they die. And when they get a cut, or they give a blood donation they also feel weak. They feel weak now because only a short and responsible amount of blood was taken. Not any amount to kill them. And any organs related to blood; if they are taken out the living creature or human dies.
And let's take blood donation as an example. Blood donation you can say it takes the life out of you, because if blood is considered life, you can say you are loosing your life by being a blood donor. But it always depends on your point of view.
If you have a pessimistic mindset, that's like what can come to your mind. But if it would be like that, it would be considered blood stealing, not blood donation. By doing that you also give life to somebody who needs it. Somebody who is in desperate need for life.
